So they had little faith in Niantic's little gentleman's deal at first and waited a month, then started development on a game based on a premise that practically died only a few months in? Why didn't they just scrap it and leave it to die when the fuckups on Niantic's side were becoming increasingly apparent? Were they honestly expecting them to pull weight and sour the community further those last two years?
