What else could it possibly be that would have the same impact? Notice you're given it instead of an item to evolve pikachu which makes sense since you can't evolve your starter. Things having four evolutions or an alolan version don't matter, just look at eevee or slowpoke

I reckon its this, but they are final bosses you have to beat to obtain. Maybe its like TR capture your eevee/Pikachu and take its unique dna and combine it with the research they did when they created Mewtwo, giving you Gorochu/Eeveon. Unnatural evolutions created from the lab.
You break into TR headquarters to save your Pikachu/Eevee post-game and then you have to fight it to stop its rampage.

No, it would be an evolution of Raichu. Raichu isn't even powerful. An evolution would make sense and it's honest to god the only pokemon that would make sense. If they're going to introduce Gorochu. They'd only introduce it as an evolution to Raichu.

Source? In japanese there's no difference between saying "there's a new pokemon in Let's Go" and "there are new pokemon in Let's Go". Also they could be hidding that because if they use plural in translations people could expect several new pokemon, not just two

I know its a fake leak, but the Trainer in the new Pokemon movie has an Eevee so I figure the lets go eevee will have something unique to it.
The only other idea I got is that Gorochu will be exclusive to Lets Go Pikachu but encounterable in LGE, but Eevee in Lets go Eevee will be able to transform at will to any evolution post-game.
Or its just an unannounced legendary most likely, but thats kind of boring to speculate on though.

Thats sort of ambiguous also.
"You'll meet a special pokemon" could mean that in each version you'll meet a special pokemon, but not necessarily the same one.
Its a feature bullet point.

Rewatch the trailer. They clearly showed that it's new to Pokemon Go. No talk of it actually being from Let's Go Pokemon. It just asks if you want to send a gift, and if you say yes, it sends it to Go. It could be anything. It doesn't mean it'll be in Let's Go Pokemon.

You are fucking retarded, the end of the trailer shows a pokémon being sent to Go... from Let's Go, the pokémon is originaly captured in Let's Go and it's confirmed a new pokemon never seen before (read Pokemon's official twitter account). The fact that you can send that pokemon to Go is nothing special, they just use the gift box to hide that pokemon's appearance

You can’t evolve your Pikachu or Eevee. Only ones you catch in the wild can evolve. Introducing a new evo for either would be contradictory and awkward since your ~*”special partner”*~ can’t evolve into it.
