You really think GO casuals care about difficulty? They just want to watch their Charizard use Flamethrower and watch the enemy's HP bar go down. My casual roommate uses Action Replay to edit in Rare Candies so she can hyperlevel her Pokemon to one shot everything in the main story. This is who Gamefreak is catering to.

The only people in my friend group that still play Go are the diehard autismo fans and women. And all the women do is talk about how cute their Pokémon is or whether there’s one nearby. It’s like shopping to them. Fuck, actually, this game is just that. Pokémon Supermarket. It’s not a game. It’s just like freemium shit that isn’t free. Pokémon gambling for women and children. Everything is easy to get if you just keep spending your money. No real challenge that can’t be solved without money or time on the game.

It's the same shit for the new Kirby games, where you never expected Dark Souls or Battletoads from the series, but you also didn't expect shovelware baby tier games from them either. I am not really seeing a problem here. Casuals get their own game to play while the regular fans get their's in a year later. Unless Let's Go does so damn well that the core game can never catch up, it's two games that targets different demographics.

This hurts so much. I left Pokémon after USUM because of how shit the franchise has become and started getting into Kirby instead whilst waiting for Pokémon Switch to wow me and bring me back. My problem with the game is that its a bit too casual. They could have remade RBY and made it easier, and even kept the GO gimmicks but running into wild pokemon you can see in the overworld and just catching them without battle is a bit much. Does it have online? So you do your casual battles then fight elite 4 and thats it? I mean, I'm sure the game will still be fun but I think they went a little far with the casualization.

Yeah. I'm happy to see people remember good pokemon memories from back then but its annoying when they act like everything after kanto is trash. The little things, like running around in the grass trying to find the Pokemon you want and other things being taken away are disappointing. Even a RBY remake with these graphics, with original difficulty could have dragged in all the genwunners. Not as much though, probably.

Pandering to anyone can end badly. If they'd just keep making 'em like always but with better graphics and what not that'd be fine. The way this game is, why not make it an arena/tournament game or something like XD? Instead of a gutted RBY? It still looks fun, but I think it could have been better.

Trick Room ain't viable anymore, Stealth Rock is a waste when there's nothing switching in and stall has been a dead playstyle since 2010 that only bad players use and even scrubbier players lose to.

You're insane if you think they're going to add anything more than what Pokemon Go has in it. At most the game will have just a couple more than 151 Pokemon. With the sole facts that they have stated this isn't a core game, and that they were aiming for a more simplified version of Pokemon with this title, it's really hard to assume anything else aside from it being casualized trash.
