Second of all, why would you expect a Pokemon game to have dynamic lighting? I see no evidence of it in any of the footage released. The only things that seem to "cast" shadows are entities like the players and Pokemon themselves, and certain objects like the trees and things, and the shadows are very distinct and don't seem to be affected by the lighting or objects in the immediate environment. The lighting itself is very uniform, it doesn't seem to be cast from any specific area lights or directional lights or anything.
I'm not saying you're wrong for having these expectations, but also, it's Gamefreak.
