The reason we're doing that is because that spinoff game is specifically made to attract the casual GO crowd who we know they're going to try and pander to in Gen 8 in an attempt to boost sales. This game's existence is a sign of things to come.

I'm not realy interested in buying it because there doesn't seem to be enough content both before and after post game.

With just 151 Pokemon and only like 20 viable, they could include Battle Frontier and it still would feel repetitive.

Do you not go back and play the older games sometimes, even though they're "missing" a few dozen/hundred Pokemon?
Did you think it was a problem that every other remake has kept the region's old dex until postgame?
There's way more problems with this phoned-in GO port than Pokémon variety
