The point im trying to make is that Digimon is nothing financially/popular compared to what Pokemon is, but yet they delivered something that we can compare to other console games of this generations, and not just some glorified cellphone games.

Digimon is an instanced game with less maps and less props than your average pokemon game
if anything regardless if it looks bad or good, it just keeps proving that instanced games are better than open world, save yourself from some performance issues and allows more unique props to be used but people keep screaming at Game Freak that they want seamless experience and even open world

Firstly I'd dispute that broad claim but more importantly even if it were 100% right and not an oversimplification, the "nature" in the game is made out of Lego blocks and not natural looking at all.
