The games are called bokujo monogatari in Japan

Company A decided to translate and bring them over as Haverst Moon
But now Company B has the rights to translate the series, while Company A still has the Harvest Moon name

From Japan's perspective nothing changed
The original series is now called Stories of Seasons over here
While Harvest Moon is shovelware and literally a HM in name only
