XXX is essentially the opposite, where you can specify tags, images load faster, and mods are less strict. Only cons are that the community is smaller and tends to have less images (but that is changing as people are migrating from paheal to xxx)
Gelbooru is probably the best out of the three; biggest fanbase, large quantity of images, most specified tags, vast amount of artists and moderators are practically the same as XXX.Con is that they only (using the term loosely) accept art from easterners. You might find art and porn from westerners but it's far less than paheal or XXX.
Not to mention Gelbooru allows you to use tags such as shota, that would otherwise be banned on XXX,.
e621 is furry shit. Don't go there.
On a more serious note, they have a pretty populated fanbase and are pretty much the furry-version of XXX, but you can only search up to four tags and need an account to access the rest of everything, unlike the other three.
