Hoenn has a Volcano, a tropical jungle, q desert, temperate forests, large ocean routes, and,undersea exploration. Not to mention how they made a lot of the caves fairly distinxt from one another, including the ice cave.
Hoenn gets a lot of flack for 'too much water', but it's one of the most geographically diverse regions that also manages to have all the geography make sense.
