Basically it's a Kanto remix/remake.
The protagonists seem to be chibi-fied versions of the Go characters.
Pokemon becomes mounts if they're big enough.
There are no "wild battles" in the sense that you fight them and instead it's the Go Capture mechanic.
Trainer battles remain the same!
Your friend irl can join you for co-op, but one of your Pokemon slots end up going to them for their Pokemon.
There is trade and online battle.
The Go integration is not out of the box, it's to be unlocked much like Pal Park and all the other stuff so it's its own identity.
The game isn't a spin-off, Pokemon Company calls it a main series.
The game will only feature 151 Pokemon.
Pikachu/Eevee are not evolvable, but can be customized.
That's about it so far, really.
