Gamefreak is not only the literally laziest developer I've ever seen, but the only ones that actively THRIVE in the industry in spite of it and manage to be AAA powerhouses that sell millions of copies every year, all because of their dumbass shit-eating fanbase.
If you still pay for their games or give them suppot in any shape or form you are actively hurting the quality of the franchise, no fucking excuses.
The only way I can see the current state of affairs changing is by having most of the consumer base to stop giving them money they don't deserve, specially not when there are many better monster catching RPGs on the market.
