No one is born good at drawing, there is no secret innate ability that some people have.
Drawing is a skill like anything else, if you want to draw you have to practice.
However, I've noticed that everyone tends to stop at just "Practice practice practice!" or "draw every day! Practice makes perfect!"
Keep in mind that while practice IS the key, practice without purpose is meaningless. If you're serious about being interested in learning how to draw, take a quick peek over at /ic/ at some point and look for the thread for beginners. There should be some books mentioned in the OP, I highly recommend downloading those and reading through them while you practice. You won't improve at all if you don't know what to focus on improving.
(if you can't find anything on /ic/, I personally would recommend reading "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" and "Fun with a pencil" by Loomis)
