>>35762990Because it's not an excuse. The reason people aren't mad about no GTS in a spinoff like Mystery Dungeon is because the point of the game is not to collect, battle and trade. LGPG is basically Pokemon: Casual Edition. The core gameplay elements are identical, you can directly compare LGPE to any other "mainline" Pokemon game because they're the same fucking thing. Saying "oh, it's okay that they removed features because it's a spinoff" does not fucking work when the spinoff is the same thing as the main game.
This game could remove the ability to run and you people would fucking defend it because "oh, running wasn't in Yellow!" and "it's a spin off, what's the problem?" as if we don't have 20+ years of games for them to work from to create a Pokemon experience with even half decent quality of life. Not only is LGPE a bad Pokemon game, it's a shitty fucking game in general.
