>>35764434>>35764481What bugs me about it is that not only were there a handful of generation 2 mons that showed up in the anime, but I always remembered being really excited for them. Like every kid had some story on the playground about what they were supposed to be or where you could get them in the game.
I can understand the feeling of 600 new mons all at once if you haven't seen the series in a while being overwhelming, but these people literally have no sense of adventure or discovery. How great would it be if you actually went through all of those stupid steps from your childhood, unlocked Bill's Garden, and actually found a Pikablu hiding back there or something?
If anything, Gamefreak just needs to be better about drip-feeding new pokemon to these people. It'd be amazing if Let's Go had 1% random encounters on various routes for pokemon from other regions to show up. Just a random chance to have something these people have never seen before appear and blow their minds. Have them actually remember that there's an entire world of pokemon waiting to be discovered outside of the same Kanto region we've seen over and over and over.
