I think the Ultra beasts are proof that GF still has it when it goes full ham, honestly they would look just as good if they where introduced in gen2 sprite aesthetic, its just that the beta revelation was so sudden and /vp/ that I have seen trash every other gen when we all where excited by their revelations back then, I still remember the insane hype we had over goomy (which I still like).
