I mean, he has a lot going for him—his backstory is cool, his character arc works well with it on paper, and the Crobat thing is genius—but he's just so retarded for a majority of the game. Blue considered himself better than you because he's full of himself, and even then he doesn't really consider you weak. Silver has no reason to think he's strong, and certainly has no reason to think you're weak. It also doesn't help that the one who convinces him to change his ways is Lance
who, while I'm at it, is also shit when it could've easily been you. His development would've had a lot more impact if you, the person beating him throughout the entire game, played more of a role in it.
