They were part of Gen 3. If you think Ruby and Sapphire did then you think these did too.

And if you didn't think either needed them, well, it's your prerogative to be wrong.

They didn't need tiny mobile trash remakes, but Kanto definitely needed redoing in a properly level designed version of the region.

Remakes aren't about having a dick measuring contest for what region has the most games. It's about bringing content up to date.
