>>35778110I wouldn't use Chikorita in a HG nuzlocke unless you're really up for that challenge. The gym and E4 types really don't favor Chikorita, making it difficult to use in that regard.
My Meganium got pretty far in my Sun nuzlocke by making her a support tank. I used her to tank totem Mimikyu's hits while setting up support like Reflect and Leech Seed.
She died in doing so, but her sacrifice was not in vain; prevented a team wipe had it not been for her.
Obviously grass type is not meant to be defensive, but I've got a lot of newfound respect for Meganium.
