N.Switch cartrige - question

No.35784964 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
I heard some people being upset that Nintendo Switch keeps game saves "console locked" or something like that. So you cant transfer them anywhere and if your Switch is broken - you lost all saves.

Do they mean games that are on MEMORY CARD or games from game Cartrige storing saves in console too? So there is no memory storage on nintendo switch cartriges?

I don't have Switch yet (getting on 13June and it will be Mario Oddysey version so i wont be having a game cartrige either).

During every pokemon game i tend to have a very important (to me at least) information stored on cartriges. Becuse i usually spend over 1000 hours doing breeding/shiny hunting and filling boxes with pokemon that are important to me. This is a big fucking time investiment and i keep being helped from all those cartriges i still have. (like yesterday when i moved some Unowns in Pokemon Platinum into USUM through pokebank, those Unowns were caught few years ago)

And i really hope that when you buy a game on cartrige it keeps saves inside of that cartrige so you are 100% sure where you will be storing those precious saves.

If all my important data will be stored in Switch then its a major bummer...holy shit this stupid decision to make.
Please prove that this is wrong
