They say three dog Pokémon died during the Burned Tower incident, but Ho-Oh revived them and they changed looks.
Beta dogs are still canon.

It wouldn´t make sense as to why a Water-type Pokemon, and of course, a Fire-type Pokemon, would die by fire. But I would like it to be it like you say. If only they were other typings.

here are the facts for you toddlers:
-anime is not canon
-the generations web episode this is from is just the story about how it is told between people in the world of pokemon it does NOT show facts just what people imagin in the pokemon world if they tell the story. if by all means the siluetts might be a easter egg nod towards the original designs.
- beta beasts are dogs, but that was SCRAPPED.
- official redesignd beasts are cats (this is confirmed by their creator per twitter) (picture related)

a fire type can still die per fire.
try it in game you still hurt fire pokemon if you throw some fire at them. also smoke poison exists and it's more deadly than you would imagin.

You can still burn a fish or a seagull. Also just being a firebreather doesn't mean you can't get incinerated in any shape or form.

Because creators of Pokemon Generation knew how beta, unreleased Pokemon looked like and they specifically made them look like something we may never see.

These are just shadows of unknown species and don't suggest anything.

Eeveelution theory is actually cool and pretty logical, you meet eevee trainers in ecruteak which are related to tradition
