I haven't played Pokemans since Gold (own it, Red, and Yellow) I'm not buying a DS so whats a good emulator and game / romhack to play.

I've looked up some shit on my own and heard the desmume dev sabotages the emu for Pokemans, and that BW is bad. Is there anything like the gold/silver remakes but for crystal?

HeartGold and SoulSilver is Gold/Silver remake with some elements from Crystal, like Battle Tower, Eusine subplot, Suicune not being a roaming encounter and probably few other things I forgot.

Maybe try Pokémon MindCrystal.
It's a romhack based on HGSS with a higher difficulty, some quality of life changes (60ish FPS, movepool revamps), and maybe more elements from Crystal than vanilla HGSS Also Lyra is removed from the game and replaced by Kris

There's like some weird weeb version of desmume I use that has extra settings to make things look and play waaaay better but IDR where I got it.
