Now that I had a few days to think about it, I came to the conclusion that I'm actually excited for it.
Why?
First of all the game got continuously worse ever since we entered the 3DS Era. According to my little brother USUM were actually quite good, but the fact alone that the tutorial, commonly mistaken as first island, is still around, I feel better off not playing it.
Now with my overall excitement for new games at an all time low, an updated trip down the memory lane doesn't sound too bad.
I know that Let's Go will not provide me the same experience that the Blue version gave back then, but let's be honest: even the blue version itself won't be able replicate the feelings from back then, so fuck it.
Give me that casualized first Gen. At least I'll have Eevee following me around. As an Eevee-fan that excites me the most.
