I have a an impish mega scizor with max hp/def. This is the MVP of team, as it can set up with swords dance to +6 80% of the time, and then just sweep with bullet punch. It's pretty rare that the opponent can 2HKO that bulky of a mega scizor, and if they can't 2HKO you, you can roost/swords dance/roost/swords dance/roost/etc. I give it thief or brutal swing as final coverage move, which sounds weird but they get boosted to 90 with technician and almost nothing in battle tree resists dark/steel.
Main backup pokemon is araquanid, which usually tries to tank the fire attacks that threaten scizor, but even araquanid isn't super reliable.
Then third team mate is usually galvantula as it deals well with some specific threats. I got beat by a mega swampert before, it set up rain and the waterfalls were so powerful they even beat scizor (i wish I had galvantula to energy ball it). Pelliper that happens to get drizzle and hurricane beat me before with confusion hax (galvantula could have used thunder). A double teaming rotom wash haxed a victory (at least compound eyes would mitigate the evasion with energy ball)
