psychic > alakazam
flying > pidgey?
bug > caterpie?
some of these don't really have epitomes
honestly the typing thing is pretty stupid. these games were more interesting when i didn't have 100 matchups memorized.
i wish they did something more interesting with Pokemon. like their happiness changes how their moves affect pokemon. ash's pikachu shocked brock's onix cause they trained hard and used the sprinkler system. in actual yellow version you train a butterfree to leaen confusion.
pokemon was better when we didn't overanalyze garbage like how dragon types are affected in a fairy metagame
can't wait to pass down that story to my children
