All of the ones from Sm4sh, with Greninja getting a new Ash-Greninja Final Smash Transformation.
They're all too marketable to drop, including Greninja who defies all logic by being immensely popular without being Lucario or Gen 1, even after Gen 6 as we venture into Gen 7's finale.
As for a new Pokemon, it'll either be Carrot Lycanroc, Mimikyu or the Mystery Pokemon from Gen 8 that's set to appear in LGPE.

I'm personally hoping that Incineroar usurps Charizard as the Fire-type rep for Smash, because Incineroar could possibly have a really fun, interesting moveset, and Charizard isn't very good in these games.

Given marketing and promotional factors, the current frontrunners are Mimikyu, Incineroar, and a Lycanroc with an Ultra Beast as a Wild Card. Though after learning that Roar is Masuda's favorite Gen VII mon and he's who Sakurai talks to about Smash inclusion, that's some big points in the tiger's favor.

They're not getting rid of Zard; the anime's cemented him too deep and they even retconned it to be Red's Starter despite that originally being Venusaur.

However, keeping it and adding Roar is some referencing to I Choose You which would have been the current movie as of this game's dev cycle and GF tends to make their pics to promote those.

I doubt Sakurai cares about type representation, otherwise we would’ve had Sceptile or Grovyle while ORAS was still relevant, since they were on high demand too for the same reason.

Mimikyu would make me inmensly happy, and would balance out the cutemon ratio 3-4 against the coolmons. And it’s fairy type wouldn’t overlap as badly with Jigglypuff as say, Incineroar’s fire would with Charizard.
However, I doubt they will reveal the Pokemon newcomer this early.

Nobody gives a single shit about Incineshit, and especially not Sakurai. Incineroar is the type of pokemon that Sakurai is known to dislike. Brawny baramons are shit that he hates in pokemon, and he would never willingly add in barashit pokemon.

His taste in pokemon are the cool and badass sort, such as Greninja, Decidueye and Lycanroc-Dusk. That's the type of pokemon he will choose.

the only thing close to an archer in smash is link's neutral special, and that's only one move
an actual full-fledged archer character is something we have yet to see as far as i know

Anyways, I can see Lycanroc-Dusk (or midnight) and/or Mimikyu getting in. Incineroar probably won't get in because of Charizard and Decidueye is Irrelevant and already got into Pokken, so I doubt those two will be picked.
