Do people ACTUALLY hate Zubats?
I keep thinking that it's some normie meme from their childhood when they were too dumb to be stuck in caves or something.

I catch zubat in every generation and never have any problems with Zubat/Golbat encounters or with anything related to them.

They're just annoyances when you're trying to get through the caves, but it's a mix of bad elements that make them so popular to meme

It's mostly a meme regarding how most of the time in most gens zubat will appear more frequently than others, also "your pokémon is confused" spam. Personally I was more annoyed by the peliprotect combo on RSE.
And I love those two lines too. Go figure.

More cave variety would be nice. Especially nowadays where we have a good variety of different bats and nondescript rocks they can use. It would be neat to find certain bugs in caves rather than forests as well though. Stuff like Venonat or Venipede wouldn't look out of place leaping out at you from the dark.

They're a bit annoying simply because of how common they are in most of the early routes.
But the Zubat line is really cool and actually really good in game so I'm usually happy when I get one in a nuzlocke.
