Close but no cigar, ORAS has better rebattle system, secret bases and a better berry system; real reasons to go explore the routes again. Not to mention more megas and the black loading screens go a tiny bit faster.

Not the best (Gen V is a hard bar to beat), but XY was really fun and a step in the right direction despite being super easy.
