So, you and others whine about symptoms of a problem that goes to the heart of the series itself and it's shitty mechanics, that began life literally broken and every one step forward is accompanied by two steps back.
They were shit back in '96 and they're still shit now. If Game Freak is ever going to fix it, they need to be competent enough to see that they built a shit framework but they literally weren't competent enough to even literally ship a fully working game back in the day. Now, they ship working games that fuck everything else up.
Balance is the most trivial part of it.
