Thanks to that shit named Let's Go we'll never get a decent Sinnoh remake.

All remakes are now relegated to that shitty format. I won't be surprised if Sinnoh comes second (instead of Johto) but it'll still be garbage.

Gen 3 almost made me quit the franchise.

DP kept me interested.

Pt/HGSS made me love Pokemon again.

So, yeah, I kinda do but I don't know if I would want to revisit them again unless we got a remake of DP with as much as HGSS.

Both DP and XY felt like the filler episodes of the series. Unremarkable plot, forgettable gym leaders, an underwhelming dex padded with evos, and a big empty region that overstays its welcome. They were just there to tide the players over while we wait for the real title. Unfortunately Gen 6 never received that real title.

Headcanon time.
GenIV was supposed to be an "end" to the series as it was at the time. This would explain why DPPt was the one to introduce literal godmons, and had a lot of focus on "completing" past evolution lines, and why GenV had that "soft reboot" feel.
Probably explains why Platinum had the most effort put into it, too.
