>Meowth/Persian
Definitely for sure. I'm sorry, but regular Meowth and Persian goes from something really great to something just so bland. Not only is Alolan Persian more interesting and funnier, it actually LOOKS more like Meowth! But my main issue with Persian is still that it drops Meowth's coin for no reason. Oh well.
>Geodude/Graveler/Golem
The electromagnetic rock thing was already done by Probopass and the railgun thing was done by Vikavolt of the same gen. The facial hair makes them look funnier, but I kinda wish they were an entirely different concept. Like volcanic rocks or mossy rocks or cyborg rocks or something, anything.
>Exeggutor
obviously better; it's just MORE Exeggutor to love, and is way too goofy to not love
>Raichu
My one complaint with Alolan Raichu is that it's very clear that they just wanted a surfing Pikachu in some capacity. All other Alola Forms have at least SOME type of backstory for being what they are, but Raichu's is just "pancakes and we don't know". Yeah, at the end of the day, all Pokemon are nonsensical, but at least try a liiitle more.
>Rattata/Raticate
They're somehow even MORE rattier than before, which is great
>Grimer/Muk
EASILY the best Alola Forms. They are a complete improvement while still being amazing in their own right. Every regional variant should be more like these guys.
>Marowak
Even more spooky and sad and just a fun way to have fire twirlers be skull-bearing dead moms
>Vulpix/Ninetales
They're alright. I might like Alolan Ninetales' wispy hairs a tiny bit more.
>Sandshrew/Sandslash
Igloo pangolin is way too cute and deserves an entire line just for igloo pangolins. Frozen-spike Sandslash is inherently cool.
>Diglett/Dugtrio
Kinda similar with Alolan Exeggutor. Too silly not to love, and OG Diglett and Dugtrio were already lovably silly.
