Nosepass does Onix so much better. No 4x weakness, better Sp. Def, actual STAB. Shoulda had Thunder Wave too though.
Cranidos is a great rock type too. It's faster than Turtwig and Piplup and can demolish everything at that point of the game except Geodude (which still takes a lot from Pursuit) and I guess Onix but Onix can't do anything back lmao
