I did, after I played White and saw it had absolutely nothing to do after the credits rolled. Then I decided I'd hop back in with Omega Ruby, and I had such a blast that I was a Pokemon fan again. Then I played Moon.

So I've given up twice over.

I pretty much have. The last time I played a Pokémon game was a few days after SM came out. My problem is giving up on /vp/.

I'm casual af. I haven't played a Pokemon game since like Stadium 2 or some shit. What's kept me on board since the 90s is the thrill of new Pokemon, lore, and other miscellaneous things, a lot of which are pretty vague. I started browsing /vp/ four years ago because I thought it was a hub for leaks but stuck around to btfo (and watch others btfo) people to oblivion.

I almost did. Gen 4 was when I stopped being a die hard, and I really disliked Gen 5 as a whole, so two lack luster gens really killed a lot of interest I had. X/Y happened and it did a 180. I don't like SuMo/USUM as much as X/Y, but SuMo/USUM has done nowhere near the damage for me then B2/W2 did for me.

This, if gen 8 is just linear hallway cutscene-bloated trash like Alola I think I might be done for good. I just can’t get excited for Pokémon anymore after the last few years of disappointment. I always felt pokemon had lasting all-ages appeal but gamefreak clearly feels otherwise.

I did. During Gen 3 because i was too poor to buy a GBA. I didn't even bother with Gen 4 but got back in during Gen 5.
