i don't think there's a mantis shaped orchid. It's sort of a subversion of the orchid shaped mantis. Instead of a bug that looks like a plant its a plant that looks like a bug. Hence, it is a mantis mon. Just in an indirect way. I think it's a clever design choice tbqh.

More importantly is why it exists? Is there really a benefit to a grass type pretending to be bug? The only thing is that it would dissuade use of ice, or bait rock types.

Yeah but how does it protect it?
