They probably will but honestly kanto's dungeons weren't specially complex to begin with. Seafoam island has always been boring as shit because all you gotta do is either spam repels or click RUN until you get the puzzle done. UlIs more a pain in the ass than fun. Victory road and the old mansion at least have trainers.

That's why people who kept talking about Pokémon Switch being a Mystery Dungeon game after them saying it would be a core RPG were retarded.

The Mystery Dungeon series as a whole a is literally based on Rogue. In case you can't figure out the obvious, that's where the genre got it's fucking name.

If it's not a roguelike, nothing fucking is because Nakamura (of Dragon Quest and founder of Chunsoft if the name's not familiar to you) specifically set out to make his own version of it.

topdown procedural generated dungeon crawler with a turn based battle system sounds like a roguelike game to me. Well that would be a roguelite since there's saving, but that's the only thing. roguelites are more similar to rogue than literally nothing anyway.
