Help me /vp/. I've never played either of these games. Which should I play and why? Which one is better?

Both have good postgames. It's just a matter of preference if you want Sinnoh/Unova Pokemon or Frontier/PWT more.

Platinum, hands down. It's got so much content in it that you can play the game on and on. It's like a refined or ultimate version of all it's predecessors, including aspects from every game before it. The only downside I can think of is the hp bar speed and even that wouldn't be as much of a problem unless you're facing a pokemon like Blissey.
B2W2 is also good, and is at least certainly better than the original games so you can give that a try if you want too.

Both. Make sure you play Platinum first though. The speed of game would turn you off if you played a Unova game first
