Ground immunity should be a inherent quirk separated from abilities. It's absolutely retarded for a mon to be locked to a decent but not amazing ability just because there was no room to make it a flying type. And it's equally retarded for stuff that's clearly flying like Beedrill to be vulnerable to ground moves.

Not really. Agility literally says the user relaxes and lightens it's body to move faster. Swords dance is a bit weird, raising fighting spirit with rituals is something warriors have done forever. All Swift swim clones are about letting the user move faster in it's natural environment. Reflex meme is stupid.

I think there could be a simple justification that Pokemon that hover, despite not having Levitate or being Flying-type, don't hover as high as those that do.
So Beedrill can fly, just not high enough to escape an Earthquake.
