My dad was a fucking asshole growing up. (He's chilled himself over the years, he's better now)
But when I was a kid he was such a dick in general, about everything.
There was a time back when Blockbuster was a thing, and they sold those static pokemon figures from Tomy or some shit.
The sweet Sugimori designs and coloring.
Anyways, whenever I went to visit my dad, he was a big movie fan so it was blockbuster all the fucking time.
There was a Machamp figure that would sit in the bin, but it was kind of pricey, cause Blockbuster, at least I recall.
I would want it and he didn't get it for me, (he didn't get me shit ever, even for my birthday)
One day my mom and him got into a huge fight over something, not exactly sure.
But then next time he picked me up he's like "I got something for you"
And he gave me the Machamp, figure the motherfucker.
That was the first time (as far as I know) that he did something to make me happy as a kid.
So every time I see Machamp I think of my old man.
