Only thing I ever really worry about in-game are abilities, since those are easier to get the one you want in a couple catches and feel more relevant. Everything else I more or less leave be.

I just go for "not min" when it comes to natures. I aim to not get a -speed or -attack/sp.attack depending on which the poke needs.

I fucking hate natures. They can really hurt my enjoyment when playing through normally. When you get one that hurts one of your best stats, it's very noticeable.

The difference is that you normally sdon't know what your IVs are mid-playthrough, so you don't know if they are good or bad.
Natures are a blaring sign that says YOUR POKEMON SUCKS.
