I actually think a good amount of the Ultra Beasts could pass for "regular-weird" Pokemon without the Ultra Beast moniker. Celesteela is probably the most abstract of the bunch, but guys like Pheromosa and Stakataka honestly aren't too terribly far off to me.
I still don't know whether that's a good thing or not, but I still find all the Ultra Beasts really cool anyway so I guess it doesn't matter
