>>35863461>Kanto Better than a lot of people remember. Especially given the limitations. Some large routes with long stretches of battles. Bike and surfing segments stand out a lot more. The big cities are actually pretty distinct from one another. Some nonlinearity. 7/10
>JohtoThe remade Johto from HGSS is comfy as heck but I don't think I ever really loved the standard version. I don't give it the same credit I give to Kanto since it's somewhat derivative. 6/10
>HoennYou could shit on IGN for a lot reason but if you meme "too much water" you're an underage faggot because there's too much fucking water. 5/10
>SinnohGreat region. I always liked how your routes open up through past areas and how everything is grounded around Mt. Coronet. You're never backtracking for more than a minute but it all helps to make the progression through the region feel less linear even though it still technically is. 8/10
The next three are all really linear and lacking in dungeons or level design but real quick I'll drop Unova > Alola > Kalos. Unova has some neat segments in between towns and the non-Castelia cities look pretty nice with pleasing color schemes. Alola's linearity is compensated by having a more involved story, having a more coherent adventure played up was nice but the region is blatantly unfinished and the story's intrusiveness kills replayability. Kalos is about as tired as it gets despite being the first 3D game and the the France aesthetic. I never want to back to Lumoise ever.
