Why do people on this board call Pokemon Adventures edgy when it's just standard shonen stuff? Hell, lighteahearted mainstream series like Naruto and One Piece are way more violent than this

Pokemon is marketed towards kids. When a medium like Adventures incorporates darker traits, it's considered "edgy".

Frankly, I only consider the sequel baits (which can be called "dark") to be unnecessarily edgy and poorly-executed.

This. Some fans are worse than the anime or games fandom, there was a time where they thought that pokespe was the true canon of the games and used that excuse to attack the anime and even the games.
I only hate the manga because all the DEXHOLDERS (stupid title btw) are walking archetypes and the girls are treated worse than in the anime.

Because they need examples to prove their point. But most of those who hate the anime don't really have any criteria to determine how a Pokémon series should be. All they do is see whether Ash is there or not, and if he isn't there it's instantly good for them no matter the flaws.

And before anything else, I haven't had any good opinions on the anime since the Kalos League.

Because some manga fans are pissed about the focus that Ash gets compared to any other human in the franchise, when people think about a Pokémon trainer and Team Rocket Ash and TRio are the first ones to come to mind, not pokespe Red or games Red but Ash, just like how JJ&M are more widely known than Giovanni.

Who cares? Game Red has gotten recognition plenty of times. Hell, he got a Figma and an older appearance in SM.

The gym leaders were already evil when Tajiri made the statement. The manga is printed very ahead of the takobon compilation in a magazine. It's was Tajiri's review of the RGB arc.

Have you ever considered how pretty much all of the villains die?
They whitewash and scrub down every single story but the villains still meet brutal deaths?
Gaston, whose only crimes were being a douche and acting in fear of the unknown, gets fucking IMPALED.
The guy in Tarzan goes after Tarzan for selfish and vile reasons and ends up HUNG BY VINES.
Those are the most TAME villains and they get two of the worst deaths.

If I recall correctly, I'm not exactly a "fan", the characters themselves didn't even intend to kill him.
It was raining, and he was on a rooftop, he was asking for trouble.
On the part of the writers, they had this big, climactic scene on a rooftop, and they need to settle the villain somehow.
So, they have him fall, as opposed to him being killed with a weapon or something.
I suppose having pointy things down below for him to fall on maybe isn't necessary, so maybe impaling is a bit much, he could have just fallen into the abyss and his death been a mystery.

I'm not sure where you're getting this information. All of the movie adaptations they've done like Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, etc. originated from white culture, where the original characters are white. Whitewashing would be turning characters that originated as a different ethnicity to caucasian. All of the characters have been accurate to their historical background, until you have the frog princess where you have a fairytale setting altered so that a black character would make sense. The correct complaint wouldn't be "whitewashing" but rather Disney isn't adapting stories from other cultures.

Norman, Steven and Courtney 1 are the only characters confirmed dead on screen and they were revived
All other characters who "died" had a vague magical fate like Pryce, Archie and Maxie, or were comatose and don't appear again like Lysandre and Malva. It's just so they can make the characters come back if needed.

Archie (and Maxie) disappeared in a ball of light. Archie said "yes" when Sapphire asked if he killed Maxie but Maxie threated it as if he just lost the battle and he said it so like that. None of those things are edgy at all. They're just a few steps removed from being totally saccharine. Pokemon Special can only be considered edgy compared to the Pokemon anime, which is extremely tame even as far as children's entertainment goes.

The worst part about 4Kids One Piece is I think they acquired it at all because Al Kahn wanted it, never spoke of it again, and left the actual production crew with a property they knew from the start was WAY outside their model. It was 4Kids hackery of the highest order.

4Kids One Piece is a great illustration of that divide; its maturity level is kids block fair, its just far too violent to translate to a lot of international equivalents.

He and his pokémon are probably strong enough to even crush a mountain. The only reason his Pikachu beat ZapMolCuno was because Yellow beefed his Thunderbolt up to exaggerated levels.
Pretty sure most (if not all) of the strong characters in printed media (DC, Marvel, Shonen Jump, etc.) would beat his ass in no time.
