can /vp/ explain me why they don't like the designs of Digimon/YKW/etc and the Ultrabeasts

There's no complex reasoning for me - digimon and yo-kai just don't appeal to me in general. There's some digimon I like and maybe a couple yo-kai, but the rest do nothing. Pokemon and MonHun monsters have some special something to them I wouldn't be able to explain that makes me adore most - UBs included.

I only dislike most final digivolutions, which tend predominantly to being humans in armor. That's boring. I like my monsters to be monsters.

It's not just one, there's several based around butts. And farts. And toilets. It's not funny or cute, it's just cringy. Most of the other designs are uninspired as fuck too, and the few genuinely great ones are cheapened by having a number of recolors passing for new monsters.
Are these acceptable arguments or are you going to inb4 them next time too?

I don't know about Yokai Watch, but I feel like Pokemon have more "personality" then Digimon.
Or maybe its because they have less personality?
I just find them more relatable, and easier to sort of construct a personality, and become more attached.

I think that people who dislike Ultrabeasts just hate that they're not blatantly based off some sort of animal. I was disappointed that they ended up being catchable Pokemon and not story-centered boss fights, but we had totems for that.

There's a few Yo-kai that I like but my main issue is that many of them have annoying color schemes. The anime gives them a ton of personality so while I couldn't care less about the game, at least they have that.

There are well over a thousand digimon. You have to be hard pressed to not be able to find something out of that giant roster that you enjoy. Hell, the only digimon I dislike by name are Mamemon, Nanimon, and their many variations. They're just balls with limbs. Very boring.

I can't pinpoint, but there is something in digimon artstyle that makes them look quirky. Even ones who aren't equipped with guns and shit like Agumon.
