I write fanfiction mostly for practice and testing ideas/narrative styles and see where I make mistakes while writing. I'm not very proud of it, but it helps so I don't get rusty on my writing since it's easier to write on something that already exists.

Besides, Pokémon fanfiction can be actually quite good as long as you don't write edgyshit

Last thread was May 29th, it seems they're just a bit sporadic. Maybe they're holding off on making threads at the moments since Let's Go made /vp/ too fast to prevent slow generals from always falling off page 10.

I can understand that for doujinshi (you are paying for the art) but for a fanfiction that's exaggerate.
Also, the writing itself doesn't really matter in a ff, rather than making a story that attracts fans (t. Why it's all either Amour or gay shit)

I kind of want to write a fanfic about the GSC Beta, in a world where these new pokemon have just been discovered or something, since I know they will never get any official recognition or love. Maybe some kind of reconstructed novelization of what I can gleam of the plot for the beta GS games.
Who am I kidding? With how sparse the stories for early gen games were, it'd be a novella at best.
