Is anyone else irrationally afraid of playing gen3-5 games because of bad eggs and the rumors surrounding them when you were a kid? As a kid I read so much about them randomly appearing and pokemon randomly turning into them, even without any kind of cheating/hacking.

Like I was straight up so afraid of them that I refused to leave eggs in the PC (for fear that they'd go bad and turn my other pokemon into bad eggs) and refused to have caught pokemon sent directly to the PC (because I read somewhere that this could glitch out and cause it to turn into one). It's fucking dumb but this scared the shit out of 10-11 year old me.

Now even when I want to go back to the gen3-5 games I still have this irrational fear. It's literally a phobia for me at this point whenever I play those games. Anyone else have this?
