There really shouldn't be. Smash is a game with iconic Nintendo characters. Any of the newer generations are too new to be iconic. I didn't even like having Lucario on there. Pikachu, Mewtwo, Jigglypuff, maybe Marrill. No one more recent than that.
Not even nostalgiafagging. There's just too many people who don't know who any of these new pokemon are.
