beat the elite 4, caught mewtwo. i was just turned 7. only thing i ever got stuck on was just starting the game, and couldn't figure out how to get out of the house for a while. i was my first game and i tried every combination of standing on the doorway and pressing buttons i could think of before figuring out that i was supposed to just keep walking down into them. the caves and the mansion and the rocket hideouts were fine without ever getting lost for long, and the gyms and the league were fine with my STAB-only teams where i spammed offensive moves.
either kids these days are retarded or LGPE is aimed at literal toddlers. it reminds me of a shitty chinese ripoff game my toddler nephew plays where pokemon scroll across the screen and you just chuck balls at them and then get back pats for catching them.

In my very first run I wasn't paying attention and completely missed how HM's worked. Once I left the SS Anne I was completely stuck because I couldn't use Cut. I just wondered the map and somehow even made it through the Rock tunnel without Flash.

I remember being given yellow as a kid. I made it to the champion, but my pikachu was my last pokemon to face off against Blue's last pokemon, Jolteon. Guess who ran out of PP and forgot that ethers existed? At least that's how I remember it.

oh god i'm so glad i wasn't the only one. it took me about an hour on a plane flight and i remember telling my mom how hard the game was. i spent all that time walking round investigating every object trying to trigger whatever would let me out and trying every possible means of interacting with the door. a week though, damn.

To be fair, I didn't play much of the Gen 1 games when I was kid (wasn't allowed a Game Boy, didn't even have a PC at the time), but I DID get to play Crystal on an emulator and the only thing I never managed to do as a dumb kid was beat Red (I know, I'm retarded, but fuck you too).

Anyone defending LGP is a faggot. These games are a disease already.

i was stuck for something like half a year on entering saffron. didnt read english too well and didnt connect the dots with the guard being thirsty. wasnt until my autist cousin showed me i got past it. smooth sailing from there though as i was absurdly overlevelled

When I was 8, I beat my Rival, beat the Sevii Islands, beat my rival again, and then caught Mewtwo and Suicune in Fire Red. I didn't get stuck on anything. My older sister had Leaf Green and she didn't help me at all, so I had to do it myself.

It depends, I was learning to read in 99 (6 y/o) and not in english, I got stuck when you had to give a water to guards but only for some days. Tbh Pokémon Yellow taught me how to write and speak in english, english classes were easy af

I got to around Celadon, but then my cousin gave me his copy of Crystal and I totally abandoned Blue because on the nicer sprites and music and everything in Gen II. I beat Crystal with an overleveled Feraligatr.
