That already exists. Pokemon with max friendship in Pokemon-Amie/Refresh have a chance of surviving an attack.

Moves can have 2 types.
e.g. a grass/water type move does 4x as much damage on a rock type mons Or maybe early game lucky egg with 2x exp instead of 1.5x. Go even further and just make all grass avoidable and trainers optional. After every battle your pokemon are automatically healed. Also change the pokeball mechanics of capturing pokemon from chance to using joycons to shake the ball sufficiently. The starter pokemon has at least 2 perfect IVs.

Introduce a literal handholding mechanic where Lillie or some other character takes your character by the hand and leads you through the entire game and tells you exactly what to do. Or better yet, it can completely plays itself while you watch.

Literal hand-holding: the professor escorts you on your adventure because who lets kids go out alone these days? It could be dangerous, we don't want that in a video game to encourage them to explore the unknown on their own. Have a difficulty selection at the start with an easy mode that automatically puts the Amie effects on Pokemon you've used for a bit. Pokemon remember every move and you can swap out moves at any time outside of a battle while also having the ability to have separate movesets for Doubles/Triples/Baton Pass/etc. Make Natures have expanded effects so you don't always feel disadvantaged if you have a nature previously thought as shitty for that mon. Remove the endurance element from the game and heal between every battle with the caveat that you can only use the same number of Pokemon as the trainer you're up against. Losing wouldn't teleport you away but introduce some minor debuffs to keep visiting Pokemon centers relevant.

Why having moves and natures, or even abilities, hold items, IVs, EVs, or even types. Just remove them intirely and put a typeless tackle to everything. Metagame is way too difficult for kids, so it's highly unneeded in a Pokémon game.
