>People don't get that LGPE are quick examples meant to kill 2 birds with 1 stone in connecting GO to mainline RPG style and representing a GF Switch product
>People don't get that the actual Gen 8 Switch game is and has been the main focus, but GF didn't want to leave the fans wanting for a year
>People are actually whining the game is too casual when it's marketed at casuals and little kids, hence Let's GO

I'm sure most of you saw the running and walking models that were done for every Pokemon by USUM, not just the first 151. LGPE is a practice run for them; it's safe to say we're getting the full set in Gen 8.
And to the people that say they didn't need such a level of handholding when they were a kid, you haven't been paying attention to how different the market for games is today, which Masuda has been explaining in interviews and grappling with. There are so many mobile games that are easily accessible that it's hard to compete for someone's attention, especially a kid's. The controls are easier because why deal with something troublesome than play a different game? LGPE is a bridge to not scare off GO fans who may have or be interested in the Switch. If you don't think it'll be fun to play, just don't get it, your game is coming next year. Oh and you don't need Mew, you only want it for the novelty of having it in some experimental game, which is pretty pointless. If having it unlocked Johto or the Sevii Islands or something, it'd be worth getting, but you guys are bickering over something valueless as far as we know.
