Yeah, you aim in Splatoon like that in the first place, there's no reason to have an Amie with that.
Also this way you can have the HD rumble so you can clearly feel Machoke's bulge

Anon, just because it doesn't affect competitive doesn't mean it's useless. Amie/Refresh are cute ways to interact with your pokemon, making them more than battling tools. To those of us who care about that, it is a level of immersion that makes the game more enjoyable. Not useless.

Amie is one of those features that let the people get more immerse into the game, if you think that that's useless and should be removed we might as well go ahead and remove clothing customization and pokemon naming
