>>35895464But I didn't say they were going to be shit anon. I just said we have no real guarantee the games will be anything better than gen7-tier because we really don't.
They can say all they want that the 2019 games will have features than make long time fans (mind you, long time, not hardcore) say "This is what I've been waiting for!", but at the end of the day, maybe they have a vastly different idea of what long time fans actually want than the reality, so we could be disappointed too.
They also said we will be able to meet many new pokemon but after Alola being a region "CHOCK FULL OF NOTHIN BUT RARE POKEMON" turned out to be absolute bs, I don't think that is a guarantee either. That and ULTRA CHANGES confirm that Japanese devs really like to use bait words to hyperbolize reality.
I am being hopeful but also being realistic that I might be bitterly disappointed.
>>35895478Gen 7 had as much going for it as it had going against it, so that's not saying much. It had way more issues than interruptions and shit overworld
>20% of the entire (small) dex is legends/sub legends>Absolute garbage-tier dex distribution and type distribution>Increased handholding (PLG takes it to a whole new level that seems ridiculous even for a toddler-oriented game)>Barely any ability to explore without being forced to resume the storyline>Shit postgame>Many locations coded into the game but left locked>Map full of long corridors with nothingness>Kanto pandering to no end>More kantomon than local alola pokemon in the wild dex>No nat dex, it's locked behind bank>Still no good facility>Shitty "episode x" postgame trend continues..the list goes on and if the 2019 games are only as good as gen7, then yeah.. there is enough to be concerned about
